State officials are reporting the fourth inmate death this month at a Carson City prison.

Nevada Department of Corrections officials say Joseph Oxford-McArthur died late Friday at a hospital, four days after he was found unresponsive in his cell.

They released no other details Saturday but say his death is under investigation.

In July, Oxford-McArthur began serving a 12- to 36-month sentence for a domestic battery conviction in Churchill County.

Officials earlier said a sick inmate died Monday at the Carson City prison, and they don’t suspect foul play.

Authorities say the inmate had been incarcerated since 2009 and was serving an 8- to 20-year sentence for a burglary conviction in Clark County.

Officials say they aren’t releasing the person’s name until they can notify relatives.

Fifty-two-year-old Richard Ferst and 62-year-old Larry Peck died earlier in October at the prison.
