Obituary: Joseph (Joe) Schneider

Joseph (Joe) Schneider of Jacks Valley passed away at his home (Schneider Ranch) on the morning of October 23, 2013.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rebecca Schneider; their son, Troy Schneider, his wife, Jessica and their children, Sunshine and Zephyr. His brothers, David Schneider of Jacks Valley, Gerald Schneider of Edgewater, Fl, Richard Schneider of Alliance, Ohio as well as their wives and families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Dorothy as well as his brother, Robert and his beloved uncle, Harry Schneider.

On May 9th of 1964 he married the love of his life Rebecca Schneider. For 16 years they made their home in Sacramento, CA. Joe working as a heavy equipment operator in Operating Engineers Union Local 3. In 1980 he moved himself and family back to the family ranch to help run day to day operations and eventually took it over. Schneider Ranch was Joe’s whole life, joy and passion.

Joe will always be remembered by the many people’s lives he touched. From his acts of kindness or helping out or his karaoke parties. But none more than that of his wife and son, we will miss you Dad!

The will be a service on Saturday, November 2nd at 2 p.m. held at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley. There is also a viewing from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. the same day. With graveside service to follow, then a memorial at Gold Dust West from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
