Program aids single, female homeowners

Single, female homeowners and senior citizens are invited to apply for the Builders Association of Western Nevada Women’s Council’s Helping Hands program, which provides assistance with home projects.

Example projects include light painting, caulking, hardware, light fixtures and ceiling fans.

To qualify, the applicant’s name must appear on the assessor’s role; projects must be at the applying party’s residence in Carson City or Douglas or Lyon counties; and projects must be able to be completed within one to two days.

An executed release of all claims is required.

Approvals will be made this month. Coordination of labor and materials and completion of projects will be done next month.
