Carson City road report for Sept. 9 through Sept. 15

The following applies to Monday through Sept. 15:

Saturday, Carson Street will be closed between Musser and Telegraph streets from 4-11:30 p.m. due to a special event. Detours will be signed and traffic control will be in place.

Due to continued construction of the Carson City Freeway project, the following road closures are in effect:

A major drainage crossing of South Carson Street between the Spooner interchange and Snyder Avenue is expected from 9 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Sept. 16. Traffic will be restricted to two lanes in each direction during daytime hours and to one lane per direction at night. This work is expected to occur again the following weekend, Sept. 20-22.

Bigelow Drive has been permanently closed between Bennett Avenue and Roland Street.

The intersection of Dat-So-La-Lee Way and Snyder Avenue will be closed for reconstruction. Local residents are advised to access Dat-So-La-Lee Way from the south via Clear Creek Avenue.

There will be lane closures with traffic control at the following locations due to utility work:

Valley Street between Robinson and Fifth streets.

Fifth Street just east of the intersection with Stewart Street.

Gordon Street near the intersection with North Edmonds Drive.
