Fight: Billy Armstrong, local lightweight, has decided to put on the gloves again. An agreement has been signed for a finish fight between Armstrong and Sam Barber. The fight will be for $250 a side and will take place Sept. 22 in Carson City. Billy Armstrong will take with him the punching bag used by Jim Corbett while training for the Sullivan fight.

Record slot cheating: Sophisticated cheaters that “electronically manipulate” progress slot machines will see regulations tightened by the Gaming Control Board.
