V.C. Outhouse races set for Oct. 5-6

“The Classic Crapper,” the “Pot Rod” other portable “potties” will be featured during the World Championship Outhouse Races, set for Oct. 5-6 in Virginia City.

The races start at noon on C street and are expected to last until about 3 p.m. A parade of outhouses precedes the races.

The races are a double-elimination tournament involving three-person teams, with one person riding and the other two pushing the outhouse. Outhouses must be functioning.

The race is sponsored in part by Miller High Life and Comstock Mining.
