The Carson City Christian Ministerial Fellowship recently elected officers for the 2013-14 year.
Newly elected are Bruce Henderson of the Church of Christ, president; Pat Propster of Calvary Chapel, vice president; Jim Peckham of F.I.S.H., secretary; and Louie Locke of the Fountainhead Foursquare Church, treasurer.
At the end of each year, treasury funds are dispersed to local causes. Checks this year will benefit the Community Pregnancy Center and Friends In Service Helping.
People involved in Christian ministry are invited to the meetings, held at 8:30 a.m. on the second Thursday of each month at Grandma Hattie’s Restaurant, 2811 S. Carson St.

Car show is set to benefit Carson man with cancer
The Les Harris Benefit Car Show, open to all vintage, classic, antique and newer cars and motorcycles, will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Harris Garage, 2211 Mouton Drive.
Registration will be from 10 to 11 a.m. and judging from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. An auction of a 1962 Tempest convertible will be at 2 p.m., and trophies will be presented at 2:45.
The entry fee is $25 per person and includes one lunch ticket, a gift bag and live music by Ken Haskins. Proceeds will be presented to Les Harris, who is battling cancer.
