Obituary: Marna Jane Miller

November 5, 1933 - September 12, 2013

Marna Jane Miller, resident of Carson City, passed away on September 12th in Carson City. She was born in Salem, North Dakota to Robert and Myrl Quiggle. Marna graduated from Shanley High School in Fargo, North Dakota in 1952. She attended Interstate Business College and worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield until 1957. Marna married Theodore S. Miller in Fargo, ND in 1955. She moved to San Bernadino, CA in 1960; then moved to Gardnerville, NV in 1993 and to Carson City in 2008.

Marna is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Theodore; son, Timothy; daughter, Julie Ann; sisters, Patricia and Dorothy; brothers, Bud, James, Don and Robert Quiggle. Marna is survived by brother, George; sister, Jean; her children, Debra, Christine both of San Bernadino, CA and Todd of Sparks, NV; and five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Marna enjoyed cooking, baking, bowling, crafts, and puzzle books.

A rosary and mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on October 4th at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Carson City. The burial will be held at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Fernley, Nevada.
