Visitors: Races and attractions at the pavilion, mineral exhibit in the Capitol Building, a bath at Shaw’s Hot Springs, a trip to the State Prison to view the prehistoric foot-print tracks and a visit to the U.S. Mint will prove interesting. To the astronomically inclined, Charles Friend’s observatory is a good place for the enthusiast on astronomy. The young ladies should see through his telescope the celebrated “Man in the Moon.”
