In two weeks, the season four premier of “Wild Fish Wild Places” hits the air.

Fallon’s Denis Isbister and Alan Broderick of Ireland return to the airwaves of the popular fishing show. Formerly on the Sportsmen Channel, Isbister said the show received an offer “to good to pass up” and moved to the World Fishing Network (Charter channel 829, Dish Network channel 394 and channel 1679 on AT&T U-verse).

The show airs Sundays at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., Mondays at 1 a.m. and Friday’s at 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Isbister said WFN offered prime-time airings for the show, and the channel is the only one dedicated full-time to fishing.

The show’s premise is to bring human-interest stories surrounding the locations of the shoots. Isbister, Broderick and their crew traveled to Alaska, Florida, Finland, South America and Canada.

Season four is a 13-week slate of programming and features the boys attempting to land peacock bass, artic char, pike, lake trout and more.

Isbister said one of the highlights was catching a 35-pound redfish in Florida.

Perhaps the most intriguing story, Isbister said, was in Finland where the crew traveled to an island to meet a “hermit” who taught Lauri Rapala how to widdle.

Rapala started a business creating fishing lures, which became one of the world’s largest and most respected fishing companies.

As for season five, Isbister said shooting will commence next year with trips to Columbia in January and Argentina in February.
