School board meets Thursday night

A regular meeting of the Churchill County School District Board will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Churchill County Administration Office, 690 S. Maine St.

Items to be discussed and that are up for possible actions include the following:

Possible Action: First reading: Approval of changes to Policy 4840 — CPR instruction.

Review Only: Review of changes to Regulation 4840.1 — CPR procedures — staff.

Possible Action: First reading: Review of changes to Policy 8315.1 — suspension of policies.

Possible Action: First reading: Approval of changes to Policy 8316 — adoption of administrative regulations.

Possible Action: First reading: Approval of changes to Policy 5420 — prevention of sexual misconduct toward students.

Possible Action: First reading: Approval of changes to Policy 4138 — complaints concerning district personnel.

Review Only: Review of changes to Regulation 4138 — written form for complaints concerning district personnel.

Possible Action: First reading: Approval of rewrite of Policy 4139/5410 — safe and respectful learning environment.

Review Only: Review of rewrite of Regulation 4139/5410 — safe and respectful learning environment.

Discussion and Possible Action: Approval to purchase extended warranty for two new school buses at a total cost of $11,800.

Discussion and Possible Action: Award of a contract for the Churchill County High School 2014 restroom renovations project.

Discussion and Possible Action: Award of a contract for E.C. Best Elementary School 2014 Long Building, library and restroom renovations.

Possible Action: Approval of the tentative budget for year ending June 30, 2015. Possible Action: Action to ratify the 2013-2014 School Year Tentative Agreement between the Churchill County School District and the Nevada Classified School Employee Association, including fiscal impact data.

Possible Action: Presentation regarding P4811 Early Retirement Incentive program and review and possible approval of applications for early retirement.

Possible Action: The Board may discuss and take action regarding the Superintendent Evaluation process and time line.

Possible Action: Setting a date for a mission and goal setting workshop.
