CCSD meets Thursday

A regular meeting of the Churchill County School District Board will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Churchill County Administration Office, 690 S. Maine St.

Items to be discussed and that are up for possible actions include the following:

Possible Action: Second reading: Approval of changes to Policy 4840 — CPR instruction.

Review Only: Review of changes to Regulation 4840.1 – CPR procedures.

Possible Action: Second reading: Review of changes to Policy 8315.1 — Suspension of policies.

Possible Action: Second reading: Approval of changes to Policy 8316 — Adoption of administrative regulations.

Possible Action: Second reading: Approval of changes to Policy 5420 — Prevention of sexual misconduct toward students.

Possible Action: Second reading: Approval of changes to Policy 4138 — Complaints concerning district personnel.

Review Only: Review of changes to Regulation 4138 – Written form for complaints concerning district personnel.

Possible Action: Second reading: Approval of rewrite of Policy 4139/5410 — Safe and respectful learning environment.

Possible Action: Acceptance of renewal proposal from Wells Fargo Insurance Services for Hometown Health (medical coverage), VSP (vision coverage) and Guardian (dental and life coverage) for July 2014 through June 2015. Total estimated annual premiums for the District (not including dependent coverage) would be $3,639,717 for medical, $24,402 for vision, $244,022 for dental and $34,099 for life.

Possible Action: Approval of award of contract to Ferguson Construction in the amount of $836,159 for construction of the Northside Early Learning Center classroom renovation project, summer 2014.

Possible Action: Approval of request for qualifications/request for proposals for technology services.

Discussion and Possible Action: Evaluation of superintendent.

Possible Action: Appointment of board member to serve on the Park and Recreation Committee.

Possible Action: In the process of preparing the draft budget for the fiscal year 2014-2015, the board will receive information about and engage in discussion of the budget including, possibly taking action on any and all line items including taking action on reduction in force.
