County meeting Thursday

The first County Commission meeting of May will be conducted Thursday at 8:15 a.m. at the Churchill County Administration Building chambers, 155 N. Taylor St.

Among the items commissioners will discuss and that are up for possible action include the following:

Consideration and possible action regarding volunteer recognition for the Volunteer Income Tax Program-EITC 2013 season, Shannon Ernst, Social Services director.

Consideration and possible action regarding updated annual report from State of Nevada Department of Health and Human Services Division of Child and Family Services, Shannon Ernst, Social Services director, and Wade Carner, Civil Deputy District Attorney.

Consideration and possible action regarding Acceptance Welfare Set-aside Funding for the State of Nevada Housing Division for fiscal year 2015, Shannon Ernst, Social Services director.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval of Emergency Solutions Grants for fiscal year 2015, Shannon Ernst, Social Services director.

Consideration and possible action regarding Proclamation declaring May 8 as University of Nevada Cooperative Extension (UNCE) Day.

Consideration and possible action regarding application for Community Support Funding and Presentation by the Fallon Youth Club, Shannon Goodrick, executive director.

Consideration and possible action regarding Classification and Compensation Study for Churchill County, Geof Stark, Human Resource director.

Consideration and possible action regarding Health insurance renewal for Churchill County employees and retirees for fiscal year 2014-15.

Consideration and possible action regarding request transfer of funds to the Churchill County Road Department for first payment on various 2014 road and bridge projects.

Consideration and possible action regarding reclassify Comptroller to Chief Financial Officer, Eleanor Lockwood, Churchill County manager.

Consideration and possible action regarding agreement with Jenuane Communities Onda Verde, LLC regarding wastewater and water connections and fees for the Onda Verde II Subdivision.
