Carson City Sheriff’s investigators are seeking the public’s help to identify a suspect in a robbery last week.

Detective Sal Acosta said he’s hoping someone will come forward with information about the woman who allegedly snatched the purse of a 99-year-old Carson City woman on Dec. 4.

According to Acosta, the woman was described as being in her late teens to early 20s with dirty blond hair. She’s about 5-feet, 4-inches tall with a heavy-set build and identified herself as Stephanie, according to the victim.

According to the police report, the victim said she was in her driveway when she was approached by a woman in all black asking if it was a particular address. The victim said she answered and turned to walk away, and the woman grabbed her purse and ran.

Acosta said the purse contained cash and credit and bank cards.

“I’m hoping someone has some information they can share to hopefully identify this person,” Acosta said.

Anyone with information should call Acosta at (775) 283-7855 or non-emergency dispatch at (775) 887-2008.
