HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES

Relay for Life

The Fallon Relay for Life is having Wrapping as a Cure for the holidays.

Volunteers will wrap your presents for a donation at the Old Post Office, 90 N. Maine Street. On Dec. 20 and Dec. 22; times are 6-8 p.m. In addition to the wrapping, Relay for Life will have items patrons can order for Christmas.


XL Hospice activities

XL Hospice invites folks in the community to hang an ornament in memory of their deceased loved one(s) on the Memory Tree located at the XL Hospice Office (570 S. Maine St. any Monday-Friday, Dec. 1-23, 8 a.m.-noon, and 1-5 p.m.

All are invited to a Holiday Memorial on Dec. 16 from 6-7 p.m. (Gathering to remember deceased loved ones).


TOY DONATIONS

Toys for Tots

Toys for Tots giveaway is Monday from 10 am.-2 p.m. at the Beverage Mart on West Williams Avenue in the Stillwater Plaza.

Toys for Tots is always looking for more volunteers in Fallon, Fernley and Silver Springs.

Gifts for Giving

No Strings Attached Community Services will be giving away good used toys, books, children’s clothes and Christmas decorations that have been donated.

The Gifts for Giving is Dec. 20 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. (note: new hours) at the multipurpose building behind the Christian Life Center, 1435 Kaiser St. The church is still taking donations through Dec. 19. Drop them off at CLC or call Carol at 775-427-2367 to arrange for pick up.

Anyone who needs good, used items to give to their children will find that these items are free.


Wishing Tree program

CC Communications Independent Telecommunications Pioneer Association (CCCITPA) and Churchill County Social Services are joining forces to request your support and help for the 2014 Holiday Season.

The Wishing Tree program helps eligible and less fortunate residents of Churchill County with their gift giving.

The Wishing Tree program can only succeed with businesses and citizens of our community making donations. CCCITPA shops in Churchill County, all donations received, are utilized within the community.
