Paloolians celebrate 70 years of marriage

Paul and Eileen Paloolian of Carson City celebrated their 70th anniversary Jan. 31. They met in San Diego, Calif., where Paul was serving in the Navy. They were married Jan. 31, 1944.

The couple lived in the Los Angeles area while raising their three children, Mark Paloolian, Paula Morton and Eileen Gray. In 1970, they moved to Carson City, where Paul worked for the federal government at the Stewart Indian School. Eileen was employed at the Nevada Department of Transportation.

Together they have six grandchildren, Dean Morton, Kristin Leonard, Bryan Gray, Heather Jordan, Dr. Greg Paloolian and Kelli Moore, and eight great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Tia, Elliot, Mason, Simon, Maggie, Sofija and Ella Mae. Paul and Eileen celebrated their anniversary at a dinner with family.
