A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 2700 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of two felony drug-related counts.

According to the man’s arrest report:

A deputy with the Carson City Sheriff’s Office’s Special Enforcement Team learned a person with a warrant out of Washoe County was renting a room at the location. When he knocked on the door, a woman asked who was there. He identified himself, and it took 45 to 60 seconds for her to open the door.

The deputy recognized the woman and asked if he could enter to look for the man with the warrant. He saw another man with a warrant, Jacob Pacheaco, hiding behind the bathroom door. The deputy found a bag near Pacheaco that contained about 4.5 grams of a white crystalline substance identified as methamphetamine, as well as two larger bags containing trace amounts of meth. He then saw a large amount of meth in the toilet and scooped it out using a motel washcloth. He estimated the weight was about 56 grams.

Pacheaco was arrested on suspicion of felony level 3 trafficking, felony possession with intent to sell, destruction of evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as on a violation-of-a-suspended-sentence warrant.

Total bail was set at $259,500.
