RIVERSIDE, Calif. — A six-run seventh inning carried Western Nevada College to an 8-2 nonleague win over Riverside on Saturday afternoon.
WNC trailed 2-1 when it broke the game open in the seventh.
Alex Fife singled and stole second. Kody Reynolds was hit by a pitch and Austin Andrews reached on an error which scored Fife to make it 3-2. With runners at second and third, Reynolds scored on a sacrifice by Stolo. Andrews moved to third and Jake Bennett walked. Conor Harber sacrificed Andrews home and Joey Crunkilton reached on an error, sending Bennett to third. Tony Roque followed with a run-scoring single and Spencer Dorsey hit a tow-run single to cap the rally and give the Wildcats an 8-2 lead.
Bennett and Roque led the offense with three hits apiece, while Dorsey added two hits. Crunkilton, Fife and Reynolds added a hit each.
Five WNC pitchers combined on a five-hitter. Harber started and went 4.2 innings, allowing two runs and three hits. Rayne Raven, who picked up the win, worked 2.1 scoreless innings. Connor Zwetsch, Thomas Kerr and Dylan Hollister finished up for D.J. Whittemore’s crew.

WNC edges Salt Lake
Western Nevada scored six runs in the fifth inning to wipe out a 3-1 deficit and defeat Salt Lake.
The scheduled second game was stopped after two innings because of unsafe winds.
Salt Lake scored single runs in the third, fourth and fifth to take a 3-1 lead.
WNC struck for six runs on four hits, one error, a passed ball and two walks. Jenny Rechel and Makenzie Hospodka had run-scoring hits. Heather Septon had a run-scoring walk. Two runs scored on an error and another on a passed ball.
Makenzie Hospodka had three hits, while Meghan Hospodka added two. Rechel, Katelyn Bomar and Lindsey Ashbaugh added one each.
Carlee Beck went the distance, allowing just three earned runs and 10 hits.
BOWLING
Carson wins again
Carson’s bowling team rolled to a 40-5 win over Galena recently to remain undefeated. Carson next hosts Reed at Gold Dust West at 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 22.
Conlin Herrick led the way with a 247-617, Sylar Belcher rolled a 225-608 and Matt Liddell had a 215-608. Alec Fletcher 219-595, Nicko Chotisin had a 210-576, Chris Baird had a 2-6-559, Billy Myer had a 219-557, Garrett Nicholson had a 202-557, Jacob Zumbro rolled a 232-539, Dustin Floyd had a 172-502 and Tyler Lethcoe had a 185-502.

Dayton girls lose to Fernley
FERNLEY — The Dust Devils closed their season with a 44-23 loss to Fernley. Patsy Ledezma led the offense with nine points.
WRESTLING
Dayton eighth in regional
SPARKS — Dayton finished eighth at Saturday’s Northern Division 1A tournament at Sparks High School.
Trent Bustos (285) and Ryan Greenwalt (126) finished third. Paul Langstaff (120) was fifth, while Andrew Goodman (145) and Will Owen (106) were sixth.
The state meet is next Saturday in Primm.
