Mom was much more than “just a homemaker” as she called herself. She was an educator, mentor, counselor, chef, money manager, seamstress, home decorator, gardener, crafter, chauffeur, and an especially proud mother of five fine children. Married in Glendale, Ca, she and the love of her life worked during the war years assembling planes until Dad was sent to occupied Japan. They raised their children in San Lorenzo, California, and spent many days either at the beaches in Half Moon Bay or in the Markleeville, CA area, fishing and camping. After her husband Melvin (Pete) retired, they moved to Carson City, Nevada, where they continued to fish regularly, and Mom continued to play tennis into her late 60s. She was an active member of the Carson City Tennis Club for years. Billie’s last years were in Hayward and Placerville while living near her children. She enjoyed all her friends at the Gold Country Retirement Center in Placerville. As a very social person, she touched many lives and will be missed by many friends and of course, her loving family.Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Melvin “Pete” Dailey and grandson Eric M. Kvam. Blanche is survived by her five children; Linda Lunceford (Alyn), John Dailey, Pamela Dailey Millard, Patrick Dailey (Jacque), Jean Kvam (Robert), twelve Grandchildren, and 13 Great Grandchildren. You lived a great life Mom, and you will be greatly missed.
