Following are Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for Jan. 2. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:

High Sierra Brewing Co., kitchen, 302 N. Carson St., 99 points. There was dust accumulation on the ceiling around the fan vent in the dishwashing room and on top of pipes in the kitchen. The walls in the dish washing room were dirty with black buildup. The dish washing racks were not clean.
McDonald’s, 2001 N. Carson St., 99 points. There were no Quat chemical test strips available to verify the sanitizer level at the three-compartment sink. A thermometer was missing for the walk-in freezer.
Jack in the Box, 309 E. William St., 98 points. Several containers of dry foods were not labeled in the dry-storage room. A light shield was missing on a ceiling light fixture in the dry-storage room.
Port of Subs, 1621 U.S. Highway 50 E., Suite B, 98 points. The ice scoop was found in the customer ice at the drive-through ice bin, corrected on-site. Water was accumulating in the bottom of the front service counter reach-in. The cabinet under the customer soda dispenser was not clean inside. The fan exhaust under the drop box at the front counter was full of dust.
Casino Fandango, butcher shop, 3800 S. Carson St., 95 points. An employee was using a cellphone while on duty, corrected on site.
Casino Fandango, main kitchen, 3800 S. Carson St., 93 points. Several plastic containers of uncooled and covered Alfredo sauce were found stored inside the walk-in; the internal temperature of the sauce was over 100 degrees, corrected on-site. A sanitizer bucket was found stored on the food-preparation surface directly next to an uncovered pan of chopped onions, corrected on-site.
The Firkin & Fox, main kitchen, 310 S. Carson St., Suite 100, 89 points. During active use, there was no measurable chlorine residual in the dishwasher during the final rinse cycle, corrected on-site. Two unlabeled spray bottles were filled and unlabeled, corrected on-site. Employees were preparing ready-to-eat food without gloves, corrected on-site.
