RENO — Authorities are looking for two inmates who walked away from their work assignment in Reno.

Officials with the Nevada Department of Corrections say the inmates vanished a little after 2 p.m. Wednesday while they were on a project near Interstate 80 and McCarran Boulevard.

The two inmates include Dustin Cottiero, who is serving one to three years after an attempted burglary conviction out of Washoe County.

The other inmate is Corey Gomez, who was serving three to eight years after being convicted of burglary and resisting an officer in Clark County.

Both were assigned to the Stewart Conservation Camp in Carson City, and were working on a project with the Nevada Division of Forestry.
