Wednesday is the deadline for candidates and public officers to file their 2013 contribution and expense reports, as well as their annual financial disclosure statement.
Secretary of State Ross Miller said those officials can do so until 11:59 p.m. because the reports must be filed through his office’s Aurora campaign finance disclosure database.
The reports are available to the public immediately on the office’s website, he said.
The annual C&E report covers campaign contributions and expenses for the 2013 calendar year. Miller said those public officers who have already fined C&E reports 1-5 do not have to file the annual report. For all candidates, C&E Report No. 5 is due.
The reports are required even if there are no contributions or expenses during the reporting period, Miller said.
The financial disclosure statements also are required to be filed with the Secretary of State’s Office. But judicial officers and candidates file their disclosure statements to the Administrative Office of the Courts.
