Following are the Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for Jan. 16. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:
Super Burrito, 1250 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.
Whiskey Tavern, 3481 U.S. Highway 50 E., 100 points.
Remedy’s, 306 E. William St., 98 points. The speed gun and nozzles were dirty with biofilm buildup. The drain hoses were not draining properly. The rear area of the ice machine needed cleaning to remove biofilm buildup. The three-compartment sink was not cleaned before the setting up of the basins with clean wash, rinse and sanitizer solutions. The inside bottom shelf of the keg/condiment cooler was wet and had biofilm buildup.
Westside Pour House, 110 W. Telegraph St., 98 points. An ice scoop was stored improperly with a handle laying in the customer ice, corrected on site. There was no alcohol warning sign in the women’s bathroom.
Sassafras, 318 N. Carson St., 96 points. An ice scoop was stored improperly against a bottle. The speed-gun holster and drain tube needed better cleaning to remove biofilm buildup. The bottom of the clean glass drop-in box was littered with broken glass and there was rust on the storage racks. The floor under the bar was dirty.
