A regular meeting of the Churchill County School District Board of Trustees will be held Thursday beginning at 7 p.m. in the Churchill County Administration Office, 690 S. Maine St.
Items to be discussed and that are up for possible actions include the following:
Old business
For Possible Action: The Board will consider changing the rate of pay for substitute teachers. For Possible Action: Approval of Western Nevada College and Churchill County School District joint High School in the College Program.
For Possible Action: Discussion regarding completing Board self- evaluation. For Possible Action: Discuss details regarding Feb. 22 workshop.
New business
For Possible Action: Mr. Marty Johnson, JNA Consulting, will discuss with the Board the distribution and potential uses of remaining bond funds and may also discuss the possibility of issuing new bonds (BMAR-8).
For Possible Action: The Board will hear a report of the meetings of the Gym Exploratory Committee and may take action to approve initiating the design of a high school auxiliary gym, including initiating the process of selecting an architect.
For Possible Action: Approval of the Audited Financial Statements for year-end June 30. For Possible Action: Presentation and Possible Action regarding P4811 Early Retirement Incentive program and review of applications for early retirement.
For Possible Action: Approval of proposed 2014-2015 School Calendar.
For Possible Action: Approval of temporary inter-fund loans from the General Fund to various grant funds.
For Possible Action: Approval of request for proposal bid for banking services. For Possible Action: Discussion and Possible Action regarding sending the Superintendent to the National Association of Federally Impacted Schools Conference in March.
