Brummer achieves southwest region award
Mary Jo Brummer of RE/MAX Realty Affiliates was presented with the Certificate of Excellence for achieving the No. 2 individual sales position in the state of Nevada for the month of March.

Senior care facility under new management
On March 1, Mission Senior Living started managing Mountain Springs Senior Care, located at 2861 N. Mountain St.
The facility, which is in the process of changing its name to Skyline Estates Senior Living, has undergone remodeling in all houses and exterior colors. Its new mission statement is “Caring people, serving people, improving lives.”
Event focuses on business automation
This month’s eWomenNetwork dinner will present a program by Thomas Blackwell titled “Lifecycle Marketing: Automation Leads to Domination” from 5 to 8:15 p.m. July 16 at Grand Sierra Resort in Reno. Doors open with informal networking at 4:30 p.m.
The session is designed to help attendees discover how to make automation a reality in their businesses and to build enterprises that revolve around their lives. The presentation will cover how to increase sales and save time and money; ways to increase business through automatic follow-up and sales conversion; proven ways to automatically prospect and capture more leads; how to automatically up-sell customers; and techniques to generate referrals for life.

Sharp joins Resource Concepts
Jeff Sharp, who served as Carson City’s city engineer for the past seven years, has joined the team at Resource Concepts, Inc. as a senior engineer.
Sharp has more than 20 years of civil engineering experience, evenly split between the public and private sectors. His experience includes public works facilities planning and review; design, land use development and permitting; engineering services during construction; and project management for a wide variety of civil projects. He also has specialized experience in planning and design for institutional, residential, commercial and industrial site development projects. Work on these projects involved preliminary feasibility and requirements for permitting; site layout; coordination with governing agencies and owners’ representatives; and preparation of final design plans, details and specifications.
Sharp’s technical skills include traffic and roadway design; grading and erosion control; water distribution and sanitary sewer conveyance facilities; frontage improvements including streets, sidewalks, lighting, channelization and traffic control; storm water facility improvements; and site layout.

Family Support Council welcomes new officers
Family Support Council of Douglas County announced volunteer members on its Board of Directors, which oversees the agency’s policies and fundraises to end violence within families.
New officers are Sharla Hales, board president; Carrie Nicolaisen, board vice president; Alicia Main, board secretary; and Ted Thran, board treasurer.
Returning officers are David Aymami, member; Nancy Epstein, member; Art Eunson, member; and Jeanne Koerner, member.
Klipp named president of Kit Carson Toastmasters
Jim Klipp, an engineer, was elected president of the Kit Carson Toastmasters Club for the coming year.
Klipp will be assisted by Fred Daniels, educational vice president, and Greg Lopez, vice president of membership and publicity.
Toastmasters is an international organization dedicated to fulfilling an individual’s communication and leadership abilities with an emphasis on public speaking. The Kit Carson group meets at 6:30 a.m. Tuesdays at Grandma Hattie’s.
