Simone Kuckenmeister Jensen passed away at Renown Hospital on July 16, 2014 after a long battle with Crohn’s Disease. Simone was born on August 1, 1987 in Reno, NV. Simone’s calling in life was to be a wonderful wife and mother to the love of her life, Erik and their two boys Maddex and Mason. Simone grew up in Carson City, NV and graduated from Carson High School. She loved playing sports including varsity tennis and competitive softball. After moving to Reno, she met Erik Jensen and they soon made a life together raising their two boys, Maddex and Mason. Simone was a homemaker and spent her days making this world a better place for her family. She was so proud of her husband and boys and worked tirelessly to make everyday a good one for them. Simone loved to cook, garden and photograph her family. Just last week she and the boys created a new recipe from their own garden. Her family was always amazed at her creativity in the kitchen and how she taught the boys to enjoy all types of food. She and the boys loved to create the next meal together. Her family is so thankful for the photographs she is leaving behind to constantly remind all of us what a wonderful wife, mother, daughter and sister she was. Simone is survived by her loving family: her husband, Erik Jensen of Reno, sons Maddex and Mason of Reno, sister Juel Kuckenmeister of Reno, father Randy (Jamie) Kuckenmeister of Reno, mother Anastasia Potter of St. George, Utah, grandmother Deanna Kuckenmeister of Carson City, Grandmother Mari Flanery of Scottsdale, AZ, grandparents Albert and Vivian Potter of St. George, UT, in-laws Rich and Christine Jensen of Reno and sister-in-law Michelle Jensen of Reno. Our beautiful daughter, wife, sister and mother is now safe watching over us with her Grandpa Blue. She will forever have a special place in our hearts. A celebration of Simone’s life will be held at The Grove in Reno on Sunday July 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. The Grove is located at 95 Foothill Road. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, 733 Third Avenue, STE 510, New York, NY 10017.
