It’s finally the day seniors have been waiting for all year, graduation.
Churchill County High School seniors will hear Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval give tonight’s keynote address and offer words of encouragement to the graduating seniors.
Approximately 234 seniors will participate when Churchill County High School’s Class of 2014 celebrates its commencement ceremony at the Edwards Arciniega Athletic Complex.
Graduation begins at 7 p.m. and gates for parking and the stadium open at 5:30 p.m. School officials ask guests to park in the student parking lot off Sheckler Road and enter the stadium through the ticket gate. Additional parking will be available at the Churchill County Fairgrounds when the student parking lot is filled.
Each graduate has received five tickets to give to his or her guests, who may sit on the football field during the ceremony. All other guest will be directed to the grandstands.
Handicapped parking is available, and golf carts will be available to assist in transporting handicapped attendees to the field. No saving of seats will be allowed before 5:30 p.m., according to school officials.
