Base Ball Match To-Day. The Silver Stars of Carson and the O’Shaughnessy’s of Virginia City are to have their “sugar” game today. It is game and game. The match will take place on the chosen ground of the Stars — they having won the last game. Exercises begin at one o’clock.

The Fourth at Glenbrook. Great preparations are being made to celebrate the next Fourth of July, at this place in a worthy manner and several hundred dollars have been subscribed for the occasion. We are to have a grand regatta, pulling and sailing races, with every other sport and amusement to enable all to enjoy themselves. The scarcity of ladies being the only objection. Cannot some of Carson’s good Samaritans bring up a few?

The proposed new fishway at Derby Dam on the Truckee River will soon be built. Congressman Raker and the two fish commissions of Nevada and California have had this proposal up for almost two years.

Harold Gotelli, who had his tonsils removed Tuesday morning at a Reno hospital, is rapidly recovering. Harold is the 8-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Gotelli of the Ox Bow Ranch.

Strange behavior means its Carson Valley Days. Trailing the paddy wagon behind it, the stolen jeep went roaring through the streets of downtown Gardnerville, festooned with Carson Valley Days decorations, as the hapless woman inside the jail screamed for help. It’s the beginning of another Carson Valley Days.
