A.R.C.C. meeting
The (A.R.C.C.) Amateur Radio of Churchill County invites all current Amateur (HAM) Radio operators or anyone interested in amateur (HAM) radio to join us.

MOPS meeting
The Mothers of Preschoolers group will have some play dates as regular meetings have now concluded until late August. The first play date will be May 27 at Laura Mills Park. Oasis VBS
This year’s theme for Vacation Bible School at Oasis Community Church, 1520 S. Maine St., is Blast Off. Meet the Tea Party
Come to Laura Mills Park between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. June 21 and enjoy a hot dog with your Fallon Tea Party neighbors. We will be near the
parking spaces along Babb Street. No speeches, no leaflets, and the dogs and drinks are on us. Bring a small simple side dish if you want.
Cancer Warrior Aces tickets
The Cancer Warriors for Central Nevada are selling tickets to the Reno Aces for the July 6th game against Sacramento River Cats to help support Scott Wilson and Christina Santiago.
The tickets are for right field seating and are $10 each. They can be purchased at Jeff’s Copy, Choice Wireless, Farmers’ Market, or by contacting the Cancer Warriors at 775-629-2629 or CancerWarriorsCN@gmail.com.
If we sell 100 tickets or more, Scott will be able to throw out the first pitch and Christina will be able to participate in an on field game. A few lucky ticket holders will also win chances for playing games and going behind the scenes.
Library reading program
“Fizz Boom Read,” the 2014 Churchill County Library Summer Reading Program, begins with signups in June.
Included are weekly programs, self-directed crafts and a book to keep for each week of participation.

Churchill Democrats
The Churchill County Democrats will hold their regular monthly meeting on June 18 at the Library Annex meeting room in the Serendipity bookstore on the corner of Maine and Fairview.
They will be finalizing plans for the summer. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
St. Patrick’s blood drive
St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Blood Drive hosted by the Knights of Columbus will be held on June 21.

Community Service Thrift Shop
The Community Service Thrift Shop at 169 E. Center Street is open 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. each weekday.
We are a non-profit organization run by a group of dedicated community volunteers. We do not have room for bicycles, beds, couches or large televisions. We receive donations at the back door from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. weekdays.
We have received lots of material (priced at $1 a yard) and lots of Lace trim’ priced as marked, that is for sale.
We are celebrating Father’s Day with half-price sale on all mens clothing.

The Hearts of Gold Quilters meets every Thursday 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Fallon Convention Center, 100 Campus Way. All quilters are welcome.
We are a group of 40 busy quilters who meet weekly to make donation quilts, as well as working on our own projects.
An average of 80 quilts per year are donated to our community.

WNC Fallon will be offering free HSE classes for students interested in attaining their high school equivalence diplRegistration for these classes will be held the first Monday and Tuesday of each month and is on going. You must attend both days of registration.
