RENO — A Hindu statesman from Nevada has now led members of Congress in prayer on both ends of the U.S. Capitol.
Rajan Zed of Reno delivered the prayer in Washington D.C. as the guest chaplain opening Thursday’s session of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Zed was the first to give a Hindu prayer to open the U.S. Senate on July 12, 2007.
He says exposing others to Hindu beliefs will make them more educated. He says it’s important to act for the good of the welfare of the entire world.
