A regular meeting of the Churchill County School District Board of Trustees will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Churchill County Administration Office, 690 S. Maine St.
Items to be discussed and that are up for possible actions include the following:
For Possible Action: Steve Russell, director of Transportation, will provide a timeline for bus replacement. Approval will be requested to purchase new buses out of the Capital Projects Fund and receive direction regarding the number of buses to purchase.
Possible Action: Approval of employment contract with Kimi Melendy, director of Educational Services, for the 2014-2015 school year.
Possible Action: Approval of the contract to furnish and install the audio-visual system in the Old High School Auditorium.
Possible Action: Approval to extend the deadline for the Early Retirement Incentive Program for the current year.
Possible Action: Clarification as to the intent of the motion made on Jan. 23 regarding the architect services for the high school auxiliary gym.
Discussion and Possible Action: Approval of the purchasing and installation of two new vehicle lifts at the transportation building, utilizing the Capital Projects Fund. Estimated project cost is $250,000.
Possible Action: Approval of board goals.
Possible Action: Approval to extend the Superintendent’s evaluation date from April 1 to April 24.
Possible Action: Proposal for monthly board recognition of staff.
