RENO — Carson knocked off Bishop Manogue 34-11 to win the High Desert bowling championship Wednesday at the Grand Sierra Resort.
The team of Jacob Zumbro, Matt Liddell, Brett Paulson, Billy Myer, Jessica Mathiesen and Dominic Cernaglia rolled games of 238, 187, 194, 255, 228, 185, 161, 184 and 191. The team of Alec Fletcher, Chris Baird, Skyler Belcher, Myer, Nicko Chotisin and Clayton Sollberger had a 169, 204, 206, 99, 226, 204, 155, 145 and 182. Tyler Lethcoe, Dustin Floyd, Conlin Herrick, Garrett Nicholson, Samantha Hinton and Larry Garcia had a 203, 248, 164, 202, 185, 179, 120, 228, 185.
Carson reached the finals by beating Reed 25-20 in the semis.
Zumbro won high average with a 209 and Fletcher won high series with a 737. Zumbro and Hinton were named to the all-regional team and Zumbro was Bowler of the Year.
