Salon to hold three-day open house event

Paradise Salon ~ Spa ~ Wellness, 3430 Executive Pointe Way, will hold a three-day grand-opening event starting with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5 p.m. March 27. Free hot air balloon rides will be offered beginning at 7 a.m. the next day.

The event wraps up with an invitation-only barbecue lunch for health care and fitness professionals, cosmetologists and massage therapists March 29.

Each day prizes will be awarded, including one year of unlimited infrared sauna or therapy pool day passes. There will be live music and free demonstrations of makeup application, personal training and hair styling. Attendees may try the salon’s therapy pools and infrared sauna. Massages, facials and body piercing will be available.

Gold Dust West earns safety, health award

Gold Dust West achieved an exemplary safety record and achieved the OSHA Safe Partner Award for excellence in workplace safety and health.

The casino qualified through safety and health surveys and employee safety and health training that was conducted over the past several years, according to a news release.
