Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for March 20. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:

Papa Murphy’s Take and Bake, 4314 S. Carson St., 99 points. Garbage storage lids were not closed.

Eagle Gas I, 2151 N. Carson St., 98 points. Ready-to-eat thawed burritos were not labeled with a “use-by” date, corrected on site. Trash was not cleaned from the floors in the dry storage room and walk-in.

Port of Subs, 3721 N. Carson St., 98 points. A ceiling light fixture in the middle kitchen was missing a light shield. Staff clothing was stored on top of a reach-in unit filled with food, corrected on site.

The Timbers, 124 E. Eighth St., 99 points. Rusty refrigerator racks were in the utility reach-in refrigerator.

Wendy’s, 4140 S. Carson St., 99 points. A waste food oil barrel was dirty with oil and food debris.

Carson Lanes, Eleventh Frame Lounge, 4600 Snyder Ave., 95 points. Home-style crock pots were used in the bar and the cafe next to it. The ice machine had biofilm buildup on the hoses and surrounding areas inside the unit. The bottom shelf inside the beer keg reach-in was wet and dirty with spilled beer, repeat violation. There was standing water in the compartments to the right of the customer ice bin. The shelving inside the reach-in opposite the beer keg dispenser was very rusty. Bar mats were not adequate to protect the rims of the clean glassware stored in the unit.

Lifted Cafe, 2201 W. College Parkway, 95 points. The only kitchen hand sink was blocked with a pan that was soaking in the basin, corrected on site. Baking sheets were stored on the dirty and greasy floor next to the grill. An ice scoop and the storage container were not clean, corrected on site.

Carson Lanes, service bar, 4600 Snyder Ave., 94 points. The ice scoop was stored improperly at the main ice machine. Areas inside the ice machine were dirty with biofilm buildup. There was no hand soap provided at the hand sink, corrected on site.

Thai Thai, 1300 S. Stewart St., 93 points. A freezer was being used even though it was not National Sanitation Foundation-certified. Ice cream was uncovered in a reach-in freezer. Cooking equipment, shelving and appliances were dirty with grease and food debris. Dry wiping clothes were being used. Unnecessary pots and pans and unused items were noted in the operation.

Los Caporales Supermarket, 1621 U.S. Highway 50 E., Suite G, scored 90 points. Several containers of ready-to-eat foods produced on site and for sale were leaking because the lids were not secured. Containers of foods produced on site were improperly labeled as to actual contents, list of ingredients, date made, “use-by” date and address of manufacturing. There were no paper towels in the bathroom. The rear door by the mop sink room needed new weather stripping.
