Carson River Coalition and the Carson Water Subconservancy District for the 2014 Carson River Watershed Forum on Thursday from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
The forum will feature speakers from several disciplines presenting projects, programs, studies, and educational outreach activities that occurred throughout the Carson River Watershed in 2013.
Any members of the public, river user groups, resource professionals, and federal, state, and local government agency staff are encouraged to attend and participate. Presentation and poster/display topics include water quality, water supply, invasive species, floodplain management, and environmental education.
The keynote guest speaker will be Stephanie Tutera-Gardner discussing the Harvest Hub, a cooperative grocery/deli soon to be located in Carson City.
The forum will be held in Ruvo Hall at the Governor’s Mansion, 606 Mountain St,, Carson City. There is a $10 charge to attend the forum, and lunch will be provided for everyone who pre-registers.
