Nevada’s congressional delegation will host a session this year for high-schoolers interested in appointments to the nation’s military academies.
It will begin at 9 a.m. in the Joe Crowley Student Union on the UNR campus.
The event is aimed at giving high school sophomores and juniors interested in attending one of the military academies a chance to ask questions and learn about opportunities and the nomination process.
Each member of the delegation can nominate students to attend college and begin a career in one of the branches of the military.
The joint sessions will include representatives for Sens. Harry Reid and Dean Heller, as well as Reps. Mark Amodei, Joe Heck, Steven Horsford and Dina Titus.
