Robertson joins NAI Alliance office

Bruce Robertson, a veteran of nearly 19 years in commercial real estate, joined the NAI Alliance Carson City office Monday.

Brad Bonkowski, broker/owner with the firm at 504 E. Musser St. Office 202, said Robertson has completed more than 500 transactions in his nearly two decades in the field. He said the addition represents additional broker consolidation in the Northern Nevada commercial real estate market, in which moves normally are unusual.

“It’s very, very rate for somebody to make a move,” he said.

Robertson, 61, formerly was with Sperry Van Ness in Carson City. Bonkowski and his partner, Andie Wilson, earlier left Coldwell Banker’s commercial real estate office to form their office firm with NAI Alliance and opened the office on Musser Street. Bonkowski and Wilson said the office now has six licensed agents. The other three are Cheryl Evans, Ale Avila and Rick Terrin.

“Basically,” said Wilson, “half of the commercial realtors in Carson City are under this roof.”

Robertson twice in past years earned the accolade for largest transaction and the Bonkowski-Wilson assessment was the office now has three of the top general commercial agents operating in the region.

Bonkowski said the team was formed for sales, leasing and property management under the NAI Alliance flag because it “allows us to operate as generalists” and he was happy Robertson recognizes that.

“By joining forces,” Bonkowski said, “our office will become the largest commercial real estate brokerage in Carson City.”

Robertson, whose father, Jim, was mayor when Carson City became a consolidated city in 1969, expressed excitement about his new partnership and the opportunity to continue serving clients with the new firm.

Robertson qualified for the Sperry Van Ness Partners Circle in 2004 and 2006, and for achievers awards for top producers seven times in the past 10 years.
