ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands — Jeremy Senglin hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 19 seconds left and finished with 16 points to lead Weber State past Nevada 59-56 on Monday in the seventh-place game of the Paradise Jam.
Senglin made a free throw with 40 seconds left to bring Weber State within 55-54. After a Nevada free throw, Senglin hit a 3-pointer and Nevada turned it over on its next possession. Weber State’s Joel Bolomboy converted two free throws with 5 seconds left.
Bolomboy had 13 and Chris Golden added 10 for Weber State (2-3).
Michael Perez led Nevada (2-3) with 15 points. Marqueze Coleman had 12 points and AJ West added 12 and grabbed 14 rebounds.
Weber State finished the first half on an 11-1 run to take a 27-26 lead.
Bolomboy hit a free throw to give Weber State a 45-38 second-half lead, but Nevada went on a 12-2 run for a 50-47 advantage at the 3:47 mark.
