Working Work for Woman is the name of a society of Carson ladies. It is better explained by stating what they have done than by attempting to apply their queerly chosen patronymic to the result of their labors. They started to build with the money of their own raising, a Christian church in Chinatown. These ladies deserve great credit for their zeal. We shall make visits to our celestial neighbors and make known the results of our investigations.

Mr. Townsend, seeing a small line of dove colored hose in front of the crack on the screen, was somewhat puzzled to know which particular person was there, whether Mr. Sullivan, whom he hated, or Miss Woodthorpe, who he adored. Determined to utilize the crack some way, he secured a small stick and fastened a pin on the end of it. He asked the writer to step to the side of the stage and tell him who was standing in range of the crack. The information came that it was Mr. Sullivan.
