Last evening at the theatre, the assembled hosts of Dolly Vardens held their promised “mass” Convention. B.H. Meder called the meeting to order with Bob Clarke called to the Chair. Mr. Brannan, sometimes called “Overland Pat,” came forward in a hilarious manner, and signed the roll.
He was the only person who did sign. The transparency of this of this trickery, as a flimsy dodge of the democracy to catch political gudgeons with, is only too apparent.

Chief’s photo taken. Old We-vo-ka, the Mason Valley Indian who is the originator of the ghost dance, had his picture taken recently, after some difficulty.
The task was accomplished only after Major W. D. Ingalls of Reno, former special Indian agent, consented to stand next to the chief.

Carson City Trustees last night agreed to press for traffic signals at the busy crossing at the northeast corner of the capitol.
