Margaret Pieplow

Margaret Pieplow, 88, of Fallon, Nevada passed away Monday, August 11, 2014. She was born August 9, 1926 in Sparta, WI, the daughter of Ruel and Gladys Baldwin, sister to Gordon W. Baldwin. At a young age, she developed a love for music and continued that interest at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee, earning a college degree in choral music/education. She spent her early career teaching elementary music, followed by a lifelong involvement in both church and community choir. Her musical gifts for piano and organ playing, paired with her beautiful singing voice, will be missed. Many people who sang or performed under her direction, as well as many audiences, will not forget her enthusiasm and talent. She is survived by her daughter, Beth (Pieplow) Hansen, son-in-law Jon; grandchildren, Kelsey and Jake all of Salmon, Idaho. Though her immediate family was small, she was blessed with many friends in both Wisconsin and Fallon, Nevada. She spoke often of how much she appreciated them all. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Howard, and oldest daughter, Jane Pieplow. Funeral directions are under the direction of The Gardens Funeral Home, Fallon, Nevada. At her request, no services will be held. Condolences may be sent to the family at gardens@cccomm.net. Interment will be at the Crandon Cemetery in Crandon, Wisconsin.
