The 64th annual Nevada Day Show art exhibit, featuring paintings, photographs and sculptures, is on display through January at the Nevada Artists Association gallery inside the Brewery Arts Center.

“The Nevada Day Show is our largest of the year,” said Bob Hickox, a member of the artists association. “It brings out the best and latest works of the region’s finest artists, photographers, sculptors, potters and fine crafters. Although, there is not a theme for this exhibit, many of the artists will be presenting works about Nevada.”

The art of 70 local and regional artists will be on display through Jan. 2.

Judging took place Monday, the opening day. The Best of Show was awarded to photographer Deborah Albiter of Dayton for Early Morning Flight. The Spirit of Nevada award went to Bill Migan of Dayton for his pen and ink Battle Born, Nevada Proud.

A reception for all the artists will be 6-8 p.m. Nov. 8 in the gallery. The public is invited to view the art, meet the artist and partake of light refreshments and libations. Awards will be presented to the winners.

The Nevada Artists Association Gallery is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Admission is free and all art is for sale. The gallery is at the Brewery Arts Center, 449 W. King St. For more information, call (775) 882-6411 or go to www.nevadaartists.org.
