On Sunday at approximately 2:45 a.m., Fernley deputies were dispatched to Main Street Pawn for an alarm. Upon arrival it was determined that unknown suspect(s) had forcibly entered the security door and shattered the glass door to make entry into the store. The only items that were stolen were handguns and high powered rifles. Once an inventory of the stolen firearms and a review of the video surveillance has been completed, a notification will be sent to NTAC. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.

Based upon the information we have so far, it appears whoever is responsible for this break in had prior knowledge of the business layout. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received the call at 2:44 a.m., had dispatched the call and had deputies on scene at 2:50 a.m.

Anyone with any further information can call the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office at 577-5023 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.

“It is of the utmost importance that we get these weapons off of the street,” Lyon County Undersheriff Albert Torres said.
