Michael Hohl Motor Company is celebrating its 30th anniversary this month.
Michael Hohl and his wife Karen founded Michael Hohl Motor Company in 1984. The dealership originally carried four lines — Oldsmobile, Buick, Cadillac and GMC Trucks. Chevrolet was added in 2007.
The company is the longest serving General Motors dealership in Northern Nevada and the largest full-line General Motors dealership in the state. The facility, located at 3700 S. Carson St., was remodeled in 2012. More than 200 employees work at Carson City’s GM, Honda, Subaru and RV dealership, where Tim Hohl, a fifth generation Nevadan, is the general manager.
During its anniversary celebration, Michael Hohl Motor Company will donate $100 for every vehicle purchased to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada.
A barbecue lunch will be served and winning tickets will be drawn for cash prizes totaling $5,000 on Sept. 27. There’s no purchase necessary to enter the drawing.
