When the Street Vibrations Fall Rally comes to Reno-Tahoe this week, the Comstock in Virginia City gets its fair share of rumbles as the sounds of motorcycle engines take over the town.
Local merchants and other vendors will be lined up on C Street, the town’s main drag, selling primarily motorcycle-related merchandise and accessories from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, and Saturday, Sept. 27.
“Outside of the International Camel Races, Street Vibrations is our largest event,” Deny Dotson, director of tourism, said. “We’re known for having a good time up here on the hill.
“While that’s what it’s all about, we also want to remind all event attendees to exercise caution throughout the event and take time to enjoy everything we have to offer in Virginia City as our merchants are ready to show some ‘Step Back in Time’ hospitality all week long.”
Entertainment is lined up through the weekend.
Queen Bee & the Stingers will perform at 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Bucket of Blood Saloon; Hired Gunnz will perform at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Ponderosa Saloon; Alias Smith will perform at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Red Dog Saloon; Blue Haven will perform at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Ponderosa Saloon; David John & the Comstock Cowboys will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bucket of Blood Saloon and Lucky Diamond will perform at 5 p.m. Sunday at Red Dog Saloon.
