School: Carson High

Sport: Football

Q: What is your favorite sport to watch on TV and why?

A: College football because I understand the game and all the work it takes.

Q: Should professional athletes be considered role models?

A: No. As I grow older I see that there are many other people in not such glamorous positions that are more role model worthy — parents, coaches, self-starters etc.

Q: What do you think about the dress guidelines at Carson High?

A: After attending school in Los Angeles, I can see where they are needed.

Q: What is your favorite sports movie?

A: Friday Night Lights.

Q: What do you like or dislike about Carson City?

A: I feel safer in the community than I did in Los Angeles.

Q: What vacation spot have you enjoyed the most?

A: Visiting family in Los Angeles.

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: Wings. I love Firkin & Fox all you can eat wings on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Q: What is the last nonacademic book you read?

A: “Through My Eyes” by Tim Tebow

Q: Is too much emphasis placed on test scores in education?

A: Yes, I understand how they are needed, but it’s not a true understanding of our knowledge.

Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete and why?

A: Russell Wilson. We are alike in so many ways. Seeing him succeed gives me hope that I can still accomplish my goals. He had more people tell him why he couldn’t, and he kept working hard and trying. That gives me hope and helps drive me on the field.
