The Carson City Sheriff’s Department was thankful for an anonymous donation of nearly two dozen stuffed animals Friday night.
Sgt. Scott McDaniel was surprised with nearly a dozen brown bags that were filled with brand new stuffed ducks, lambs, and puppies that all still had the tags on them.
The deputies will carry the stuffed animals in their cars to give to children who have been involved in traumatic situations. McDaniel said that this donor has dropped off stuffed animals for a few years now, but they don’t know who it is because they always drop off the toys after hours.
McDaniel said he wants whoever is dropping off the animals to know that the Sheriff’s Department says “thank you.”
