A Fernley motorcyclist was seriously injured Friday in a two-vehicle accident at Sheckler Cut Off and U.S. Highway 50.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, which conducted the investigation, Jerome Juliot, 61, was traveling eastbound when a silver Toyota driven by David Ginsburg of Sparks pulled out in front of Juliot. The NHP report that was issued on Tuesday further stated Ginsburg failed to see the motorcycle in the shadows of a passing commercial motor vehicle and made the turn onto the highway.

Juliot suffered a broken pelvis, broken legs and a broken arm. Paramedics took him to Banner Churchill Community Hospital and then transported Juliot by Care Flight to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno.

Ginsburg did not suffer any injuries.

The NHP reports said alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision.
