Soroptimist Home, Garden and Recreation show this weekend

For the 15th year, Soroptimist International of Fallon presents the Home, Garden and Recreation Show this weekend at the Fallon Convention Center.

Hours are on Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Vendors include garden beautification, seasonal greenery, home décor, jewelry, beauty aids, local farm products, home improvement items and back yard recreational entertainment. Non-profits will be available to share information about the downtown project, Fallon Theater project, Stillwater Wildlife’s Spring Wings, U.S. Fish and Wildlife services and Banner Churchill Community Hospital doing blood-pressure checks,

For the kids, there will be face painting, 4-H animal display with chicken bingo, waffle cones, Papa Murphy Pizza, Masonic Lodge fingerprinting and Indian Fry Bread-Minis.

Women will enjoy clothing vendors, beauty products, lavender soaps, women’s defense, flower arranging, nutritional food products and gardening supplies. Not to be left out, for the men there will be custom cabinetry, building products, home security, home improvement products, and lawn and garden improvements. There is something for everyone including fitness and health information.

For the animal lover in the family, Fallon Animal Welfare Group will be there with CAPS on Sunday.

Proceeds from the 15th annual Home, Garden and Recreation show will benefit Domestic Violence Intervention, Senior Center, Students in Transition and the local Soroptimist scholarship program.
