UPDATE; NHP confirms alleged Fallon murderer shot himself

The Nevada Highway Patrol encountered a Fallon man late Monday afternoon who allegedly murdered his ex-wife today.

According to the Churchill County Sheriff Ben Trotter, Larry Small, 63, committed the homicide that occurred shortly after 3 p.m. According to Trotter, Small allegedly shot his ex-wife in the back of the head at the Churchill County cemetery.

He was driving a gold colored 2006 GMC extended-cab pickup truck with a camper shell when he was arrested on Interstate 80 at mile marker 168. No other information is available.
